Idol Notes
A few thoughts on Quentin Tarantino’s Idol Night at the Movies….
- Alison was good. Girl can sing. Her hair is awful though – I like the colour, but the cut is a little too close to mullet region for comfort.
- Adam. Meh. I know he’s all kinds of awesome, but tonight’s song just didn’t do anything for me.
- Anoop. Oh, Anoop. I think I might be a little bit in teeny-bopper-idolises pop-star in love with you.
- Danny. Everlasting Love. It was ok, I guess. Dude can sing, but I can’t listen to this song without thinking about the episode of Friends where Chandler breaks up with Janice and is being all miserable.
- Matt. I can’t remember anything about his song, because Mark and I spent most of his performance entranced by the giant mole on his forehead and making idiotic jokes.
- Kris. So. Good. Got to love a little bit of Swell Season!
- Lil Rounds. Whatever.
Verdict:
I think Lil Rounds probably should be the one who goes home, but let’s face it, there aren’t many girls left at this point in the competition, so she’ll probably squeak through a few more weeks, or garner the judges save to give a one week reprieve. Danny-with-the-dead-wife will probably make it through on Everlasting Love. I think Alison, Adam and Anoop should be safe based on their performances. Kris might be in danger, if Once proves too obscure for middle America…that would suck, but I think the judges might pull out the save for him? I’m thinking it’s time for Matt “Mole” Giraud to head home….and I don’t think the judges will save him.
