About Krisalis:

Krisalis.org came into being at the beginning of July 2001, when I bought the domain name and moved my page onto Geocites, so I could have pictures. Before July, I had played with the idea of having a web-page, using Blogspot to mess around while I figured it out. Then I finally decided I'd had enough of pop up ads on Geocities, and needed CGI and other fancy stuff, so I caved in and started paying for my web-hosting. I'm hosted with PHPwebhosting. I like 'em!

This site is my living, breathing project. I knew next to no HTML when I started out, but I feel like I've learned quite a lot so far - you can take a look at my design archives and judge for yourself.

Krisalis.org is now using an all-CSS tableless design. As far as I know, this site displays just fine on IE5+, Netscape6+, Opera, Mozilla and Omniweb. If you aren't seeing the formatting or graphics, it's probably time you upgraded your browser to something that is standards compliant!

About me:

What do you want to know? Where should I start?

I'm 29, I'm female, I recently moved to Austin, TX from Singapore, where I lived for almost 6 (!) years. I went to Singapore after I graduated from Edinburgh University. I initally went to teach for a year at Ngee Ann Polytechnic. I really enjoyed it, so I extended my contract. When that ended, I found a "real" job (i.e. no more cushy teaching hours and long holidays, but a bit more pay and better career prospects, or so I keep telling myself).

I have dual British and American citizenship, because I was born in Texas, to British parents. I lived in Geneva for 6 years, so I speak French (although I'm becoming increasingly rusty due to lack of practise.)

I have 3 sisters, 2 parents, 1 grandparent, 1 dog and 1 husband. We got married at the beginning of July 2003. Marriage rocks.
